Cellular signaling
Exosome therapy — the signals that orchestrate repair.
Exosomes are tiny signaling vesicles released by mesenchymal stem cells — they carry the growth factors and messaging that coordinate tissue repair. At Apex, MSC-derived exosome therapy is used for joints, hair restoration, and aesthetic regeneration, starting at $4,500 per treatment. Often paired with stem cell therapy to deepen the response.
What it is
If stem cells are the workers, exosomes are the instructions. They're nanoscale vesicles packed with growth factors, proteins, and genetic messaging that MSCs use to communicate with surrounding tissue and direct repair.
Because exosomes are the signal rather than the cell, they can be applied where a concentrated regenerative message is wanted — an arthritic joint, a thinning scalp, or aging skin — and they pair naturally with cellular therapy.
We use MSC-derived exosome preparations, delivered by targeted injection or application depending on the indication, and we're clear about which uses are well-supported and which are earlier in their evidence.
How it works
Deliver the message
Exosomes carry growth-factor and protein cargo directly to target cells, prompting a repair response.
Concentrate the signal
Used alone or alongside MSCs, they add a focused dose of regenerative signaling where it's needed.
Versatile targets
The same signaling biology is applied to joints, hair follicles, and skin, with the protocol tailored to each.

Not one generic "exosome shot."
We source targeted exosome matrices — each derived for a specific tissue and purpose, at 110 billion to 600 billion exosomes per vial. Standard lines are in stock; advanced organ-specific matrices are custom-sourced and planned in advance.
In stockRegenerative & cartilage
Joints, cartilage, and tendon. MSC- and chondrocyte-derived exosome matrices, rich in the growth factors that direct tissue repair.
In stockDermal & follicular
Skin rejuvenation and hair restoration. Epidermal and dermal-papillary exosomes that signal collagen and follicle activity.
In stockIntimate wellness
Targeted exosome matrices for sexual health and function, for appropriate candidates after evaluation.
In stockNeural
Neural-derived exosomes explored for cognitive and neurological support, offered on a candidacy basis.
By special orderAdvanced & organ-specific
Hepatic, renal, cardiac, pulmonary, muscle, endocrine, dopaminergic, and natural-killer exosome matrices — custom-sourced, planned well in advance, for select systemic candidates who commit to a full course.
→Candidacy
Who this is — and isn't — for.
Likely a good candidate
- Patients pairing exosomes with stem cell therapy for joints
- Early hair thinning seeking a regenerative option
- Aesthetic patients wanting cell-signaling skin regeneration
- Those who prefer a non-cellular signaling approach
Likely not the right answer
- Advanced, complete hair loss with no viable follicles
- Anyone expecting a single treatment to be permanent
- Patients whose problem is better addressed cellularly or surgically
Exosome therapy is powerful signaling, not magic. We'll tell you where the evidence is strong, where it's emerging, and whether a combined stem-cell approach would serve you better.

?Questions patients ask
Straight answers.
What is exosome therapy?
Exosome therapy uses MSC-derived signaling vesicles — nanoscale carriers of growth factors and proteins that direct tissue repair. It can be used on its own or paired with stem cell therapy.
How much does exosome therapy cost?
At Apex, exosome therapy ranges from about $4,500–$7,000 for joints, $3,500–$6,000 per session for hair restoration, and $2,500–$4,000 per session for aesthetic use. Advanced organ-specific exosomes are custom-sourced by special order and priced at consultation. Exosomes are a premium biologic; pricing reflects physician-performed treatment.
What kinds of exosomes do you offer?
A broad library — regenerative and cartilage exosomes for joints and tendons; dermal and follicular exosomes for skin and hair; intimate-wellness and neural exosomes; and advanced organ-specific matrices (hepatic, renal, cardiac, and more). Our vials run 110 billion to 600 billion exosomes each. The advanced organ-specific line is custom-sourced and planned in advance.
Exosomes vs stem cells — what's the difference?
Stem cells are living cells; exosomes are the signals those cells release. Exosomes deliver a concentrated regenerative message, and the two are often combined for a deeper response.
Is exosome therapy FDA-approved?
No. Exosome therapy is investigational and not FDA-approved to treat, cure, or prevent disease. We use screened, MSC-derived preparations and discuss candidacy honestly.
