The science, honestly

What the evidence actually shows.

Regenerative medicine is not magic, and it's not snake oil. It's a real, developing field with a real evidence base — one we present exactly as it is, including its limits. Here's what the research supports.

The honest version

For knee osteoarthritis — the most-studied indication — a meta-analysis of 35 studies and more than 2,300 patients found statistically significant improvements in pain, function, and cartilage quality after mesenchymal stem cell treatment. That's meaningful. It's also graded low-to-moderate certainty, and it is not a cure. Both things are true, and we say both.

The strongest responders are patients with early-to-moderate disease (Kellgren-Lawrence grades I–III). Bone-on-bone, end-stage joints respond less — so if that's you, we'll tell you plainly rather than sell you a treatment unlikely to help.

The clinics you should trust are the ones that tell you what the research doesn't support, not just what it does.

Where the evidence is still developing

PRP has a solid evidence base for tendinopathy and early osteoarthritis. Exosome therapy and Muse cell therapy are earlier in their clinical story. For systemic and neurological conditions — COPD, kidney disease, Parkinson's, MS, and others — regenerative therapy is genuinely investigational, and we offer it only on a careful candidacy basis, coordinated with your specialists, with honest framing every step of the way.

How we practice around the evidence

  • We treat the indications the evidence supports, and refer the ones it doesn't.
  • We place every injection under ultrasound guidance — because in the literature, placement drives outcomes.
  • We set realistic expectations and track your pain and function over time.
  • We use screened, allogeneic material and process biologics with clinical-grade equipment on-site.

?Questions about the science

Straight answers.

Is regenerative therapy proven to work?

The evidence is real but graded honestly. For knee osteoarthritis, a meta-analysis of 35 studies and over 2,300 patients found significant improvements in pain, function, and cartilage quality — with the certainty of that evidence graded low-to-moderate. It is not a cure. We present the science as it is, and we tell you where your specific case falls.

Why isn't it FDA-approved?

Regenerative therapies for orthopedic and systemic conditions are considered investigational by the FDA. That's why they're out of pocket, and why honest candidacy and realistic expectations matter so much. We don't overstate what the research shows.

How do you decide what to cite?

We look at the specific protocols, doses, and patient subgroups that the literature actually supports for a given condition — and we're candid when the evidence is thin or a therapy is early-stage, as with Muse cell therapy and many systemic conditions.
