From DFW International Airport. About 10 to 15 minutes. Take TX-114 east to Carroll Avenue exit, north on Carroll, right on Kirkwood. Standard rideshare from baggage claim is approximately $20 to $30.

From downtown Dallas. About 30 to 40 minutes via I-35E north or the Dallas North Tollway. Take TX-114 west to the Kirkwood exit.

From downtown Fort Worth. About 25 to 35 minutes via TX-114 east or US-377 north.

From Frisco, Plano, or McKinney. About 30 to 45 minutes via TX-121 south to TX-114 west.

From Arlington or Mansfield. About 40 to 50 minutes via I-820 north to TX-114 east.

The Kirkwood Boulevard corridor sits in a quiet commercial and medical district, with parking directly adjacent to the building.

Parking

Free surface parking immediately outside the building. Spaces near the Suite 110b entrance are typically available. Handicap-accessible parking is marked at the building entrance.

Accessibility

The clinic suite is on the ground floor. The building has step-free entry, accessible restrooms, and accessible exam rooms. Patients using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids can navigate the entire clinic without barriers. If you need any specific accommodation, let our intake team know when you book.

What to expect when you arrive

Check in at the front desk. The intake team will confirm your appointment and verify the materials we received from you in advance. If you have imaging on disc or any documents to share, hand them in at check-in.

A medical assistant will walk you back to the consultation room. Basic vitals get taken. The room is comfortable, private, and designed for an extended conversation rather than a rushed visit.

Dr. Abdullah will come in within 5 to 10 minutes of you being placed in the room (sometimes faster, occasionally a bit longer if a prior consultation runs over).

The full consultation runs 60 to 90 minutes. Plan for the full window even if you think your case is simple.

For more on the first consultation specifically, see our first consultation guide.

What to bring

A short physical checklist:

Photo ID for check-in.

Insurance card. We don't bill for procedures, but we may submit imaging or labs under your insurance, which often does cover those services.

Imaging. On disc, USB, or patient portal login if you haven't already shared it.

A printed list of medications and supplements. Including doses.

A short written note of the questions you most want answered. Patients often forget half their questions in the room.

One sentence describing your goal. "I want to walk to the mailbox without pain by Christmas" is more useful than "I want my knee to feel better."

A second pair of ears, if you can. A spouse, an adult child, a friend. Decisions about your own joints, made while you're hurting, are easier with another listener.

For patients flying in

Apex sees a meaningful number of patients from outside Texas. For out-of-state visitors:

Recommended visit windows. 3 to 5 days, typically Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday or Thursday-Friday-Monday with a weekend in the middle.

Pre-visit imaging review. We do a more rigorous pre-visit review for out-of-state patients to avoid the worst case of you traveling only to be told you're not a good fit.

Accommodations. Several hotels are within 5 to 15 minutes of the clinic. Our intake team will recommend a couple at booking.

Airport access. DFW International is about 10 to 15 minutes away. Love Field is about 35 minutes. Rideshare and rental cars are readily available.

Follow-up. Most regenerative protocols have follow-up visits at 6 and 12 weeks. For out-of-state patients, we run these via telehealth, with one in-person follow-up timed around any return trip you plan.

Same-day care isn't typical

Treatment is not scheduled the same day as your consultation. The gap (usually 2 to 4 weeks) is deliberate. We want you to take the written plan home, think about it, and decide when you're not sitting in our office. If you decide to proceed, we schedule the procedure visit separately.

For out-of-state patients with travel constraints, we can sometimes compress the timeline, but the principle stands: we want considered decisions, not rushed ones.

How to book

Online: Use the booking form at /#consult.

Phone: Call (972) 768-2328. Our intake team answers during business hours; after-hours calls reach the answering service and we return them next business day.

For physicians referring a patient: Call the main line and ask to coordinate care.

After-hours and urgent issues

Apex is not an emergency clinic. For medical emergencies, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. For urgent questions about a recent procedure, call the main number and the answering service will route you appropriately.

A short note from Dr. Abdullah

The visit is the most important thing we do at Apex. We've designed the space and the schedule to support a long, focused conversation about your specific situation. Most patients tell us afterward that it was the highest-quality medical conversation they've had in a long time. We try to make that the default rather than the exception. See you soon.
